What you will do
- Provide direct care and support the safety and well-being of patients of all ages under the direction of the RN Charge Nurse.
- Maintain a therapeutic milieu through conversation, recreational activities, and basic living activities.
- Set limits, address counterproductive behavior, and reassure and orient patients.
- Perform safety checks and assist with managing the therapeutic milieu.
- Collaborate with unit personnel on crisis intervention and facilitate community meetings and groups.
Requirements
- Associate degree, Behavioral Sciences certification, or equivalent coursework required.
- Six months of behavioral health experience preferred.
- Completion of aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS.
