What you will do
- Prepare standards-compliant technical documentation in English, including operating, assembly, repair, and maintenance instructions.
- Create, maintain, and develop modular content in the XML-based Quanos Schema ST4 content management system.
- Develop information architectures and documentation structures, and produce translation-friendly content.
- Establish and improve content-delivery channels, including websites, download and service portals, and PDF- and HTML-based documentation.
- Develop a company-wide content-delivery strategy covering variant management, version management, and multi-channel output.
- Optimize XML-based publication processes in ST4 and connected ERP and PLM systems while ensuring consistent content for customers, service, sales, and partners.
Requirements
- Training as a technical writer, a comparable qualification, a relevant specialization, or a technical degree or technical college qualification.
- Professional experience in technical documentation or a comparable content, publishing, web, portal, or technical information systems environment.
- Very good English skills are required; good German skills are desirable.
- Experience with content management systems, XML, modular documentation, Quanos Schema ST4, and XML-based publication processes.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, including the Machinery Directive and VDI guidelines, plus structured information models such as iiRDS.
- Strong writing, communication, organizational, and independent-working skills, with experience collaborating across service, sales, support, product management, and marketing.
Nice to have
- Experience in robotics or related mechatronics and automation environments.
- Knowledge of multi-channel publishing formats and technologies, including PDF, HTML5, and WebHelp.
