TL;DR
Technical Solutions Analyst (Telecom): Supporting technical sales cycles and designing telecommunications solutions through network documentation, proposal assistance, and customer requirement analysis with an accent on fiber networks, GIS-based solution visualization, and Layer 1–3 technologies. Focus on preparing technical diagrams, coordinating project timelines, and translating complex network concepts into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Location: Remote within the United States; must be available during Mountain Time business hours regardless of geographic location.
Base pay: $24.76–$26.70 per hour, commensurate with experience.

What you will do
- Support the Solution Architecture organization and technical sales processes.
- Use GIS-based systems, existing solution designs, product knowledge, and customer requirements to qualify and support customer requests.
- Prepare proposal responses, cost-effective solution designs, technical diagrams, and sales presentations.
- Analyze customer requirements and help apply telecommunications products and services to business needs.
- Gather, organize, analyze, and present technical and financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Track project timelines and provide regular updates to sales, engineering, and technical operations teams.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in technical sales engineering or support within telecommunications is recommended.
- Excellent project management, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly to change.
- Availability during Mountain Time business hours is required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, engineering, economics, general business, or a related field.
- Experience with Salesforce, Google Earth, ESRI, or MyWorld/GE Smallworld.
- Knowledge of fiber, Layer 1–3, LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN, Ethernet, WDM, and Internet technologies.
- Understanding of fiber optic network design and implementation.
