Commercial Title Examiner

Location: Remote within the USA, Missouri

Salary: $26.88–$35.82 per hour

What you will do

• Search public records and examine commercial and residential property titles.
• Abstract and analyze leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plot books, and map books.
• Determine ownership, legal restrictions, property descriptions, and complete chains of title, including records crossing county lines.
• Resolve missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information in title documentation.
• Prepare initial title commitments and review reports for accuracy.
• Provide underwriting interpretations within established guidelines when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of directly related experience.
• State license(s) where required.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical review, research, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Customer service orientation and proficiency with standard Microsoft tools and company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terminology is helpful.
