Part-Time Inpatient Staff Pharmacist (Evenings/Holidays) - NV/CO

Location: Based in a Cigna office in Denver, Colorado or Las Vegas, Nevada; occasional work from home may be possible with a cable broadband or fiber optic connection of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Evening and holiday shifts are required.

Salary: $54–$91 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Perform remote medication order entry, order verification, drug verification, and counseling for hospital clients.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, drug information, therapeutic recommendations, dosing adjustments, and infusion guidance.
• Support safe medication use for patients, nurses, and medical staff, including special populations and complex therapies.
• Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours and document orders and interventions in PLRX.
• Work across multiple hospital pharmacy information systems, VPNs, automation systems, and client/server applications.
• Maintain productivity standards, complete ongoing training, and comply with pharmacy laws and company policies.

Requirements

• Active pharmacist license in Colorado or Nevada and willingness to obtain additional state licenses in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Michigan, South Carolina, and New York.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• At least one year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of formulary management and Pharmacy and Therapeutics procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and patient counseling skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, internet, email, and client/server applications.
