Location: Deadhorse, Alaska, United States; onsite work at facilities and well pads is required

What you will do

• Promote health and safety awareness across Area Operations-West well pads and facilities.
• Facilitate DEC training, support observations and data analysis, and implement recommendations.
• Conduct and participate in safety audits, hazard assessments, permitting activities, and Job Safety Analysis.
• Coordinate safety training for new employees and other personnel, including PSM elements.
• Participate in incident, accident, near-miss, HAZOP, MOC, emergency response, and PSM activities.
• Represent USW employees in health and safety committee meetings and help resolve workplace safety concerns.

Requirements

• Demonstrated safety leadership and proven leadership ability.
• Prudhoe Bay operations and maintenance experience, as applicable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, peers, and supervisors.
• Independence, open-mindedness, good listening skills, and computer skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Deadhorse, Alaska, including travel to facilities and well pads.

Culture & Benefits

• Three-year assignment with possible extension.
• If the assignment ends without an extension, placement into the previous position or an available vacant position is planned.
• Pay is defined by the collective bargaining agreement at 5% above the A-tech hourly rate.
• Reports to the PBU Safety Manager, with assignments and performance reviews overseen by the Safety Manager or Safety Supervisor.
