Equity Research Analyst (Small and SMID Cap Growth)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; based at the Global Headquarters. Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day working remotely each week.

Base salary: USD 120,000–225,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct bottom-up, fundamental research on small and SMID cap growth equities.
• Generate alpha and develop successful investment recommendations within a Growth-to-GARP investment style.
• Cover industrials or healthcare companies, or contribute as a generalist analyst.
• Evaluate investment ideas within the portfolio philosophy and communicate findings to portfolio managers and the team.
• Build relationships with company management teams and contribute to collaborative investment discussions.
• Challenge investment views, assess risk, and continuously refine the research process.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in small, SMID, or mid-cap equity research and/or portfolio management.
• Experience and passion for investing in small or SMID cap stocks using a Growth-to-GARP approach.
• Strong bottom-up fundamental research methodology and a track record of successful investment recommendations and alpha generation.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Intellectual curiosity, comfort taking risks and being wrong, self-awareness, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work from Wellington’s Boston headquarters four days per week.
