Equity Research Analyst (Small and SMID Cap Growth) (Growth Investing): Generating alpha through bottom-up fundamental research and investment recommendations for small and SMID cap growth strategies with an accent on detailed analysis, sector expertise, and portfolio philosophy. Focus on evaluating industrials or healthcare companies, challenging investment views, communicating action-oriented opinions, and supporting strategies managing more than $9 billion.
Location: Boston, MA, United States; based at the Global Headquarters. Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day working remotely each week.
Base salary: USD 120,000–225,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do
- Conduct bottom-up, fundamental research on small and SMID cap growth equities.
- Generate alpha and develop successful investment recommendations within a Growth-to-GARP investment style.
- Cover industrials or healthcare companies, or contribute as a generalist analyst.
- Evaluate investment ideas within the portfolio philosophy and communicate findings to portfolio managers and the team.
- Build relationships with company management teams and contribute to collaborative investment discussions.
- Challenge investment views, assess risk, and continuously refine the research process.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in small, SMID, or mid-cap equity research and/or portfolio management.
- Experience and passion for investing in small or SMID cap stocks using a Growth-to-GARP approach.
- Strong bottom-up fundamental research methodology and a track record of successful investment recommendations and alpha generation.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, comfort taking risks and being wrong, self-awareness, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work from Wellington’s Boston headquarters four days per week.
