TL;DR

Focus on assessing patients in an 18-bed inpatient unit, coordinating treatment across levels of care, completing clinical documentation, and providing after-hours psychiatric coverage.
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. Full-time hospital-based position with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule, at least 36 hours of weekly clinical time, 4 hours of administrative time, and after-hours on-call coverage as needed.

What you will do
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in the 18-bed inpatient unit.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage medications across inpatient, PHP, IOP, emergency, and consultation services.
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, case managers, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Complete timely clinical documentation and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and administrative duties.
- Provide after-hours clinical on-call coverage for 24/7 psychiatric services as needed.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Active medical license in New Hampshire, or active progress toward obtaining one.
- At least 2 years of psychiatric care experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Experience with evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and independent working skills; familiarity with EPIC EMR.
