ECI Area Specialist (Retail)

Location: Based in Barcelona, Spain; regular field presence across assigned El Corte Inglés locations, with domestic travel required for approximately 90% of working time. Overnight and occasional weekend travel may be required.

Salary: €24,220–€33,180 gross annually for a full-time position.

What you will do

• Visit assigned El Corte Inglés locations according to an agreed route plan and ensure operational excellence in stores.
• Maintain product presentation, placement, stock availability, storage organization, and compliance with visual merchandising guidelines.
• Build relationships with store managers and sales associates and influence store teams without direct reporting lines.
• Train store staff on collections, product technologies, selling techniques, and brand standards.
• Monitor store-level sales performance, KPIs, competitors, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Lead and support new exhibition openings by coordinating setup, visual merchandising, product allocation, and training.

Requirements

• Based in Barcelona, Spain and able to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays within the applicable Spanish legal framework.
• 3–5 years of retail experience, preferably in a multi-store or field-based role.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication, training, organization, and time-management skills.
• Understanding of retail KPIs, performance drivers, customer needs, and commercial objectives.
• English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Driving license and personal car required; ability to travel domestically by car, train, and plane.
