What you will do
- Refine AI-generated game translations using terminology databases, style guides, and Hong Kong language conventions.
- Correct logical, semantic, and fluency issues so content matches local reading habits.
- Review political, religious, legal, and cultural sensitivities and ensure compliance with target-market regulations.
- Proofread text in game test builds, identify localization issues, and support UI layout optimization.
- Maintain terminology databases and translation memories and help update localization standards and style guides.
Requirements
- Native-level Chinese language skills with strong knowledge of Hong Kong Chinese and Traditional Chinese characters are required.
- Native or bilingual English proficiency is required.
- Prior experience in game localization and familiarity with editing machine-translated text.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong culture, politics, entertainment trends, and the latest official Traditional Chinese orthography.
- Ability to use Mandarin with a native-like Hong Kong usage feel.
- Knowledge of Islamic cultural taboos and sensitivities in Central Asia.
Nice to have
- Experience in media content, anime, comics, games, or in-game proofreading.
- Experience with large-scale FPS game titles.
- Long-term residence, education, or extensive exposure in Hong Kong.
