Senior Solutions Engineer (Telecommunications)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Advise customers throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and requirements analysis through solution presentation and close.
• Design tailored telecommunications solutions that balance capabilities, resiliency, feasibility, and cost.
• Lead cross-functional design teams and project-manage complex, iterative customer solutions to completion.
• Document and diagram technical solutions and present their business value to technical and executive audiences.
• Support proposals and contracting by addressing technical and compliance requirements.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert, educate customers on technology trends, and mentor sales engineering peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent business or military experience.
• At least five years of experience in technical sales engineering or technical support roles within telecommunications.
• Industry certifications in at least two specialized technologies.
• Expert-level networking knowledge covering optical networking, routing, switching, software-defined networks, and network security.
• Experience designing for business continuity, disaster recovery, and varied resiliency requirements.
• Ability to create technical designs and diagrams, communicate clearly, manage ambiguity, and collaborate across disciplines.
