Intelligence Production Editor (Open Source Intelligence)

Location: Rosslyn, Virginia, United States; on-site. Regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with situational telework available by policy.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct technical and substantive editing of intelligence products and reports.
• Apply and oversee production standards across intelligence products.
• Improve clarity, accuracy, logical flow, and analytic depth.
• Collaborate with intelligence analysts, leadership, and stakeholders to provide constructive feedback.
• Support training modules that strengthen writing and analytic skills.
• Identify production-process improvements and help implement better standards and methodologies.

Requirements

• Top Secret clearance required to start.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, or at least eight years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience editing intelligence products or reports for analytic rigor and adherence to established standards.
• Background in intelligence production and technical editing.
• Strong short-form and long-form writing and editing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of intelligence assessments produced in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive requirements.
