Part time Psychiatrist

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; 24 hours per week with two 8-hour days on site and one virtual day per week.

Salary: $240,000–$250,000 annually for the 24-hour-per-week role.

What you will do

• Provide outpatient psychiatric care to client employees and their dependents aged 18 and older.
• Perform examinations, assess clinical problems, and develop care plans and prognoses in the electronic medical record.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Initiate, titrate, and manage medications as appropriate.
• Collaborate with medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and other health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Refer patients to specialized resources and support goal-setting, personal development, and adjustment.

Requirements

• Medical degree with an MD or DO and an unrestricted license to practice in the state providing care, or applicable supervision and collaborative practice agreements.
• Board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology appropriate for the served population.
• State prescriptive authority, federal DEA license, and state narcotic or controlled-substance license where applicable.
• CPR certification.
• At least three years of post-residency clinical experience in psychiatry, ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or an emergency department.
• CAMS–care certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
