TL;DR
Vice President-Data Management (AI): Leading scalable data, reporting, and workflow solutions across critical financial services processes with an accent on data governance, quality controls, analytics, and responsible AI. Focus on designing monitoring and reporting frameworks, automating documentation and exceptions, and strengthening privacy, model-risk, and regulatory controls.
Location: Newark, NJ; hybrid, with office attendance required twice a week
Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do
- Lead data management initiatives across business, operations, and technology teams, covering data quality, reporting, controls, workflow optimization, and scalability.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define requirements, roadmaps, documentation, and measurable delivery outcomes.
- Govern data standards, lineage, controls, and quality frameworks for financial services products, transactions, and processes.
- Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, analytical tools, data models, and real-time monitoring for operational risks and exceptions.
- Apply AI and GenAI to requirements gathering, documentation, reporting, workflow automation, process mining, data quality, and root-cause analysis.
- Lead complex cross-functional transformation initiatives and mitigate operational risk through stronger controls and escalation practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of data management experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Leadership experience with cross-functional initiatives, complex programs, or enterprise-level data and process transformation.
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, reporting, workflow optimization, operational risk management, and statistical or quantitative modeling.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Cognos, Oracle, Altair Monarch, and Microsoft Access.
- Strong Python experience in data mining, data analysis, and automation; pandas experience is preferred.
- Experience with AI governance, prompt engineering, model evaluation, human-in-the-loop review, output validation, privacy controls, and model risk management.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Business, Analytics, Data Management, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience supporting business-critical platforms and applications in financial services.
