APAC Quant Research Intern (Finance)

Location: Hong Kong office; candidates must be based in Hong Kong and available for a local internship

What you will do

• Support the Portfolio Manager and Analyst with research on cyclical sectors, including metals and industrial companies.
• Track industry data and analyze market trends.
• Build sector and company models for listed companies.
• Process operational and financial data with a strong focus on Excel-based financial modelling.
• Help use AI tools to improve investment research workflows and efficiency.

Requirements

• Knowledge of financial markets, financial analysis, and accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience building financial models.
• Analytical, independent, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and availability for a local internship in Hong Kong.
• Preference for candidates pursuing or holding a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to use them to improve efficiency.
• Chinese and/or Japanese language skills.
