Senior Managing Counsel (Healthcare)

Location: Minnesota work at home; hybrid work is preferred for office locations, and remote candidates will also be considered

Salary: $197,000–$328,300 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead a team of attorneys supporting U.S. medical network contracting.
• Serve as lead counsel for provider relationships, network strategy, and related business initiatives.
• Negotiate and draft complex provider contracts, including value-based reimbursement and delegation agreements.
• Advise senior management and enterprise partners on healthcare laws, regulations, enforcement matters, and proposed legislation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional legal partners on network products, solutions, governance, and implementation improvements.
• Build stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality legal support to internal clients.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 10+ years of legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing attorneys and legal teams.
• Significant experience with provider contracting, provider relationships, and network strategy in managed care, health insurance, or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and government healthcare programs.
• Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
