operates and coordinates a transmission system undergoing major upgrades to support growing electricity demand and the integration of renewable energy.
What you will do
- Perform power flow analysis for transmission outage requests using EMS and PSS/E.
- Identify and mitigate operating issues related to maintenance and project outages.
- Maintain transmission upgrade outage schedules and coordinate transmission and generation outages with Transmission Owners.
- Coordinate energization of new and upgraded facilities, ensuring accurate system parameters.
- Conduct seasonal operating and transient stability studies and maintain EMS and TSA system models.
- Support PJM procedures, tools, process improvements, committee activities, and NERC/RRO compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 0–5 years of work experience.
- Ability to produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, mathematical and electrical theory, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available, and PJM is not STEM OPT eligible.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience using PSS/E.
