Location: Fort Worth, Dallas or Austin, Texas; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work. Travel and fieldwork throughout Texas and Oklahoma are required.

What you will do
- Manage small- to large-scale archaeological field efforts, including surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
- Conduct archival research, manage data collection and compilation, and support GIS mapping.
- Author and review technical reports to ensure clear and defensible project documentation.
- Lead state and federal archaeological permitting and support compliance with NEPA and NHPA.
- Supervise field, office, and laboratory personnel while coordinating priorities across teams.
- Lead client coordination, proposal development, cost estimates, project tracking, invoicing inputs, and growth of cultural resources services in Texas and Oklahoma.
Requirements
- BA or BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a closely related field.
- Registered Professional Archaeologist or Registered Archaeologist credential.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in historical and/or precontact archaeology and cultural resources management.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in the field or office.
- Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
- Valid U.S. driverβs license.
Nice to have
- Masterβs degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a related field.
- Secretary of the Interior professional qualification standards in Archaeology.
- 15+ years of relevant archaeology and cultural resources management experience.
- Experience with THC documentation, Sections 106 and 110 of the NHPA, tribal consultation, and regional or local cultural resources regulations.
- Experience leading proposals, winning work, developing staff, and building cultural resources services.
