Power Systems Project Manager (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Houston, Plano, Denver, Fairway Heights, West Lafayette, Plymouth, or Medina, United States. The role requires domestic and international travel of at least 25% based on the focus area.

Salary: $115,300–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Work with customers to understand needs and develop proposals within Engineering Services capabilities.
• Lead projects from scope definition through completion, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and project performance documentation.
• Use project metrics to forecast performance, compare results with baselines, and provide regular stakeholder reports.
• Identify and improve project and procedural deficiencies.
• Lead customer projects involving the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant application experience with project management best practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration, automation, and communications applications.
• Working knowledge of power system design, studies, information and communication technology, and protective relay applications.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills, with the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and satisfactory background check results.
