Focus on building funded research, developing courses, supporting students with varying backgrounds, and advancing capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, machine learning, quantum computing, and systems.
Location: Bozeman, Montana, United States; full-time campus-based faculty position.

What you will do
- Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
- Produce scholarly publications and other professional research outputs.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses aligned with academic expertise.
- Develop courses and contribute to the School of Computing’s curriculum.
- Mentor and advise students with varied backgrounds.
- Participate in professional, service, outreach, and collaborative university activities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by the start date.
- Potential to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
- Scholarly and professional achievements appropriate to experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor students.
- Ability to teach and collaborate effectively within a university community.
Nice to have
- Research and teaching expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, machine learning, quantum computing, systems, or complementary areas.
- Ability to engage a broad range of students and colleagues within and outside the School of Computing.
