Product Manager, Precision Enzymes

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; local candidates preferred. The role includes approximately 20–25% domestic and international travel. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; future visa sponsorship requirements will be assessed.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 base compensation per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Develop the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for standalone and integrated precision enzyme products.
• Lead enzyme new product development initiatives in partnership with R&D and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Represent enzyme technologies in NGS and molecular diagnostics product development programs.
• Drive opportunity assessment, positioning, financial analysis, commercialization planning, and product lifecycle management.
• Build competitive assessments, analyze market trends and product performance, and translate insights into roadmap decisions.
• Partner with Technical Marketing, senior leadership, customers, and OEM stakeholders on positioning, launches, sales enablement, and portfolio reviews.

Requirements

• MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field required; PhD is a plus.
• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience, including R&D and bench experience.
• Deep knowledge of molecular biology and enzymology, especially DNA- and RNA-modifying enzymes and NGS and/or molecular diagnostics workflows.
• OEM or B2B product and commercial experience with enzymes, reagents, or life-science tools, including pricing, custom deals, and partnerships.
• Experience defining and launching products, documenting customer and product requirements in a quality management system, and working on new product development teams.
• Hands-on familiarity with PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing, plus strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Biotech and startup experience.
• Previous product management or customer-facing experience.
