Design Sales Specialist | Multiple La-Z-Boy Locations (Retail)

Location: Naperville, IL, United States; onsite in hirify.global stores

Salary: Training pay of $15–$20 per hour for 2–6 weeks; post-training base pay of $11–$18 per hour; average annual earning potential after training of $35,000–$55,000+, with additional listed earning ranges up to $75,000+.

What you will do

• Sell furniture, accessories, services, and hirify.global design solutions to achieve store sales goals.
• Schedule and conduct professional home consultations with customized room designs, fabric samples, furniture, tables, accessories, and installation recommendations.
• Use the company selling process, including needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objection handling, closing, follow-up, and after-sales service.
• Provide customer support by phone and email, resolve issues and complaints, and maintain customer records.
• Support showroom presentation, product tagging, floor moves, accessory catalogs, cleanliness, order processing, deposits, deliveries, and store opening and closing.
• Help train and coach new peers on product knowledge and sales processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal, organizational, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and competing priorities, work effectively with others, and meet assigned goals.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours dictated by business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, pass a background and drug screen, and meet Driver Management Program qualifications if driving is required.

Nice to have

• Previous selling experience and demonstrated ability to close sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
