TL;DR
Azure Cloud Architect (Azure Government): Designing and implementing secure, scalable Azure Government infrastructure and migrating legacy systems to GCC High or Azure Government Secret environments with an accent on federal compliance, identity and access management, and infrastructure automation. Focus on supporting ATO activities, building Infrastructure-as-Code deployments, optimizing classified cloud environments, and translating mission requirements into resilient architecture solutions.
Location: Washington, DC; U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required.

What you will do
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Azure Government cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- Lead or support migrations from on-premises and legacy systems to GCC High and Azure Government Secret environments.
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available Azure infrastructure aligned with federal security requirements.
- Support Authorization to Operate activities with ISSOs, ISSMs, and Authorizing Official teams.
- Architect Microsoft Entra ID identity and access solutions, including Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, and federation.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code, monitor and optimize Azure environments, mentor engineers, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure and Azure Government environments.
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and DoD Impact Level categorization.
- Experience with Azure networking, compute, storage, Microsoft Entra ID, and Authorization to Operate packages.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies or Intelligence Community customers.
- Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD experience in government cloud environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, or Purview in high-side or classified environments.
- Current SCI indoctrination or prior SCI access.
