What you will do
- Analyze electricity market trends and ISO/RTO market rules to identify opportunities and inform design decisions.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize market structures, rules, and proposed market enhancements across PJM markets.
- Develop concepts, strategies, position papers, and recommendations for complex market design matters.
- Present complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders and manage competing expectations among market participants.
- Support revisions to PJM governing documents and work with legal counsel on FERC filings, transmittal letters, and affidavits.
- Lead complex market design initiatives and drive cross-functional teams toward consensus.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering, computer science, business, economics, mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in an engineering or analyst position.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ability to apply mathematical and electrical theory, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
- Ability to produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available; PJM is not STEM OPT eligible.
Nice to have
- Masterβs degree in engineering or at least 8 years of experience as a senior engineer or senior analyst.
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
