Multimedia Journalist Reporter

What you will do

• Research, develop, pitch, report, and present local news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Arrange and conduct interviews, gather information from events and public records, and verify relevant facts.
• Shoot, write, voice, edit, and feed news production content.
• Determine story emphasis, length, format, and organization while revising work to meet editorial approval and time requirements.
• Write stories for web and eMedia platforms and interact with viewers on social media.
• Collaborate with producers and news managers to establish priorities and ensure journalistic integrity and production quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Superior on-air presence and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
