Sr. Analyst II (Electrical Engineering)

hirify.global coordinates the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects and the installation of network upgrades for the PJM power system.

What you will do

• Serve as a liaison between PJM, transmission owners, generation companies, project developers, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate the design and scheduling of new connections to the PJM bulk power system.
• Develop and coordinate work plans for generation and transmission system reinforcement projects across multiple transmission owner systems.
• Establish timelines and monitor milestones and critical-path tasks from engineering design through interconnection service agreement execution.
• Coordinate and issue interconnection studies and agreements for generation and merchant transmission projects.
• Improve project management methods, progress monitoring technologies, and tactical plans for construction activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or at least five years of equivalent applicable experience.
• At least five years of experience with major substation and transmission line construction and maintenance, or generation operations, construction, and maintenance.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Ability to apply mathematical and electrical theory, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
• Experience using PSS/e power system analysis software.
