Patient Care Coordinator Full Time (Optical)

What you will do

• Assist with efficient tele-optometry exams using optical and telemedicine equipment.
• Greet patients, identify vision needs, schedule appointments, and enter patient histories into the relevant systems.
• Conduct eye health and ancillary tests, including retinal imaging, auto refraction, keratometry, tonometry, lensometry, and pupillary testing.
• Facilitate live video interactions between patients, technicians, and optometrists, and communicate doctor recommendations to opticians.
• Support eyewear selection, adjustments, repairs, exam bookings, and eyewear sales.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality, optical area cleanliness, club standards, and regular full attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, college degree, or relevant wholesale, retail, optical, or medical experience.
• Customer service experience in a retail, restaurant, optical, or medical environment.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in telemedicine and healthcare technology, with a commitment to patient care.
• Open shift availability and regular full attendance are required for this full-time position.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of optical products and optical business practices.
• College degree or prior optical or medical experience.
