What you will do
- Manage casualty insurance programs across the United States and Canada, including general liability, auto liability, workers’ compensation, umbrella and excess liability.
- Oversee Owner-Controlled Insurance Programs for construction projects, maintenance turnarounds and large-scale plant work.
- Provide claims oversight, litigation management and governance for complex casualty risks.
- Support risk identification, loss mitigation, regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management objectives.
- Advise Engineering, Project Management, Operations, EHS, Legal, Procurement and Finance on contractual risk transfer matters.
- Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, TPAs, OCIP administrators and other stakeholders while optimizing total cost of risk.
Requirements
- Unrestricted right to work for in the United States required.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Risk Management, Finance, Business or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in casualty insurance and risk management, including North American programs.
- Direct experience managing OCIPs for construction, capital projects or plant turnarounds.
- Strong experience working with brokers, insurers, TPAs and legal counsel.
- Technical knowledge of casualty insurance structures, claims handling, loss financing, contractor risk management, governance and compliance.
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing, energy, chemicals, industrial manufacturing or logistics.
- Professional credentials such as ARM, CPCU or equivalent.
- Experience with self-insured or large-deductible casualty programs.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks and board-level reporting.
