Junior Execution Support Engineer (Fintech): Providing front-line production support for portfolio managers and execution traders across OMS, EMS, FIX, APIs, and electronic trading systems with an accent on Linux, SQL, Python automation, and the end-to-end trade lifecycle. Focus on diagnosing order, execution, connectivity, and market data issues, supporting releases and onboarding, and improving reliability through monitoring and automation.

What you will do
- Provide front-line production support for portfolio managers and execution traders across OMS, EMS, FIX, APIs, and related trading systems.
- Monitor trading systems and investigate alerts, incidents, user queries, orders, executions, allocations, positions, market data, connectivity, and downstream workflows.
- Use Linux, SQL, application logs, and monitoring tools to diagnose production issues.
- Develop Python-based tools and automation to improve trading and support workflows.
- Support UAT, production releases, system upgrades, new functionality, and onboarding for brokers, trading platforms, APIs, and investment teams.
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Compliance, senior support engineers, and external vendors while maintaining documentation and runbooks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in application support, production support, software engineering, financial technology, or a similar technical role.
- Strong interest in financial markets, electronic trading, and trading technology.
- Good understanding of Linux and confidence working from the command line.
- Experience with SQL, data, and Python or another scripting or programming language.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills for a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Experience with a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, broker, exchange, or financial technology company.
- Exposure to OMS or EMS platforms such as FlexTrade and knowledge of the trade lifecycle.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol, electronic trading systems, APIs, JSON, REST, or other integrations.
- Exposure to equities, options, futures, FX, fixed income, derivatives, or monitoring tools such as Grafana.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
