Senior DevSecOps Engineer (IoT Cloud Security)

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA

Salary: $135,000–$185,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term variable incentives.

What you will do

• Design and implement secure-by-default cloud infrastructure for IoT data transmission, processing, and storage.
• Develop encryption, authentication, access control, and secure communication mechanisms for data in transit and at rest.
• Create infrastructure as code modules aligned with security best practices and industry regulations, preferably using Terraform.
• Secure cloud integrations, APIs, data ingestion, storage, and processing across enterprise services.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, security reviews, monitoring, and alerting to identify and respond to risks.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, DevOps, and security teams while mentoring colleagues and leading security awareness training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud security, focused on securing infrastructure for data processing and storage.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, TLS, data encryption, and secure communication protocols.
• Experience securing public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with SAST/DAST tools, container security, vulnerability management, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance requirements for cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Terraform experience.
• CISSP, CCSP, GCSA, or cloud-specific security and automation certifications.
