FW Engineering PMO Program Manager (Firmware)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $130,700–$205,200 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead a matrix team through the engineering development process for business notebook and desktop PCs.
• Act as Agile Scrum Master for 3–4 firmware development teams, facilitating ceremonies and removing impediments.
• Manage project schedules, critical deliverables, resource allocation, and support requirements.
• Track and report program metrics, risks, issues, escalations, and status to senior management.
• Coordinate development and documentation across software, firmware, systems, manufacturing, and external development partners.
• Drive integration of new technologies, quality initiatives, and process improvements into engineering projects.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7–10 years of experience in program or project management, Scrum Master work, professional technology organizations, or a related field.
• Extensive experience delivering firmware or device-driver programs using Agile methodology.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, program planning tools, presentation tools, and spreadsheets.
• Strong business acumen with experience briefing executives, negotiating with business groups, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrix teams and resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating program plans, proposals, and results at senior-management levels.

Nice to have

• Program Management Professional certification.
• Experience with Jira, Kanban principles, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, automation, and new product development.
