Location: Chicago, IL; the ideal candidate will live in the Chicagoland area. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Salary: $135,300β$169,150 annually, plus potential bonus and/or equity depending on level and role.

What you will do
- Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 provision calculations using OneSource Tax Provision, including SEC disclosures and internal reporting.
- Manage U.S. and Canadian federal, state, franchise, sales and use, and foreign tax compliance, including workpapers, returns, estimates, and extensions.
- Oversee tax balance sheet accounts, deferred tax assets and liabilities, tax notices, audits, exposures, and negotiations with tax authorities.
- Partner with finance and business leaders on tax technical matters, accounting guidance, M&A due diligence, and timely tax-related reporting.
- Identify and implement tax process improvements, automation, standardization, systems, budgets, and business cases.
- Contribute to tax strategy, SOX compliance, cross-functional initiatives, external advisor management, and informal team mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics; CPA, IRS EA, or a Masterβs degree in Taxation required.
- 8+ years of experience at a Big Four firm or in a medium-to-large corporate tax department of a publicly traded company, with substantial ASC 740 provision experience.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong practical expertise in ASC 740, U.S. income, franchise, and sales and use tax compliance.
- Experience resolving complex tax and tax accounting matters, including M&A-related issues, tax audits, and interactions with tax authorities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, work independently, and collaborate with finance, auditors, advisors, and other stakeholders.
- For U.S.-based positions, authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

- Experience with U.S. international, Canadian cross-border, and foreign taxation.
- Proficiency in OneSource Tax Provision.
