Staff DevOps Engineer

Salary: $155,000–$210,000 USD annually, plus variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Set technical direction for the Industrial Cloud team and drive the evolution of DevOps practices.
• Develop and own best practices for infrastructure creation, application scaling, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Automate infrastructure and operational work, identify inefficiencies, and improve engineering workflows.
• Enable reliable, observable software delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional platform and infrastructure initiatives, making decisions on complex technical challenges.
• Mentor software and DevOps engineers and influence engineering strategy across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of non-internship software engineering experience, including at least 5 years focused on DevOps.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud systems in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including advanced architecture and cost optimization.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform, and production-scale containerization and orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language for automation tooling and internal platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, disaster recovery, software delivery practices, technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication.
