IT Enterprise Solutions Engineer - ERP (Epicor Kinetic)

Location: Onsite at the Salt River office in Cape Town, South Africa. Supports the Boulder, US and Cape Town sites across time zones, with periodic travel for phased rollouts and onsite support weeks. After-hours availability is required during cutovers, hypercare periods, and month-end.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of the Epicor Kinetic ERP platform, MES, and integrated application estate.
• Gather business requirements, translate them into system configurations, and recommend process improvements across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and HR.
• Design enterprise architectures and integrations, including data mapping, transformation, security, and exchange with MES, CRM, financial, banking, tax, shipping, and carrier systems.
• Manage environments, releases, patches, backups, monitoring, security access, credentials, master data, reports, dashboards, and controlled document output.
• Lead incident, problem, hypercare, cutover, and phased rollout activities across sites, modules, integrations, and entities.
• Coordinate vendors and business stakeholders, maintain project plans and risk logs, and provide user support, training, and process governance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a similar ERP-focused role and a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or Information Systems.
• Hands-on Epicor Kinetic implementation, administration, and support experience, including DMT, BAQs, dashboards, Application Studio, BPM directives, Epicor Functions, SSRS, and label engines.
• Experience with ERP integrations, middleware, REST or OData, data mapping and transformation, and SQL Server administration covering backups, recovery, and maintenance.
• Experience supporting multi-site, multi-company ERP operations, intercompany transactions, finance processes, month-end close, banking, tax integrations, and reconciliation controls.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments governed by ISO 13485, GMP, or CSV, including validation evidence, change control, traceability, label integrity, and audit support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, collaboration, and time-management skills; flexibility to work long hours when required.
