WOA Plant Operator (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Monitor and operate wells, pumps, natural gas compressors, valves, tanks, pipelines, and other production equipment.
• Gauge tanks and meters, record pressure, temperature, flow, and production readings, and complete daily, eight-day, compressor, spill, and pipeline reports.
• Collect and test oil and other product samples for quality and integrity.
• Inspect pipelines, valves, flanges, and equipment for leaks, wear, and malfunctions; perform basic tightening, greasing, and sealing work.
• Respond to alarms and pages, shut down equipment during emergencies, implement spill prevention procedures, and participate in the emergency response team.
• Work across multiple fields when required and support the team while taking direction from frontline supervision.

Requirements

• At least two years of oilfield operator experience.
• Ability to work a 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts and remain available for 24-hour on-call support.
• Ability to operate facilities independently, recognize non-standard conditions, anticipate problems, and recommend solutions.
• Basic mathematics, mechanical, and computer skills.
• Ability to work in arctic conditions.
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; no certifications or licenses are required.
