Sr. Title Examiner – Complex Projects

Location: Remote within the United States; Santa Ana, California

Salary: $26.88–$35.82 per hour

What you will do

• Examine chains of title for underlying real estate associated with condominium projects and individual condominium interests.
• Perform complex title examinations requiring advanced title expertise.
• Abstract and analyze mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plat books, and map books.
• Determine ownership, legal restrictions, property descriptions, and record completeness.
• Write title products and provide underwriting interpretations within established guidelines.
• Guide and mentor less experienced team members, supervise special projects, and communicate with clients and customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of title examination and title searching experience.
• Experience examining titles in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
• Intricate title examination experience in residential, commercial, or home builder sectors.
• Strong knowledge of easement and declaration review, legal terminology, legal property descriptions, and title industry systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, research, administrative, and complex problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a Title Agent license is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• Commercial title examination experience.
• Title Agent license.
