Focus on building a three-year product roadmap, translating technical and competitive insights into product decisions, and driving new product introduction through a stage-gate process.
Location: Sussex, Wisconsin, USA; onsite role with occasional travel.

What you will do
- Develop product-category strategy for stationary diesel industrial generator sets, including revenue, market-share, margin, and profitability goals.
- Own product lifecycle management, including new product launches, improvements, phase-outs, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Gather industry, customer, market, and competitive research and convert findings into product-development priorities.
- Build and drive an innovation-focused three-year product roadmap with business and engineering leaders.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and indirect teams through the stage-gate development process.
- Support sales activities and key product launches while monitoring technical specifications, quality metrics, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, technical sales, or a related role.
- Experience using market and competitive analysis to guide product-development decisions and articulate business cases.
- Technical understanding of new product development in manufacturing and engineering environments, including the ability to interpret technical information.
- Experience conceiving, developing, and launching products through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to have
- MBA or master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in the power-generation industry.
- Experience in a commercial or industrial business-to-business company.
