What you will do
- Assist Landmen with oil and gas contracts, leases, assignments, rights-of-way, correspondence, and related documentation.
- Research leases, contracts, and regulatory orders to support proposals and Landmen requests.
- Administer payments for new lease purchases and verify supporting documentation.
- Process AFEs and invoices, including coding, approvals, payment, and Joint Interest Billings setup.
- Prepare and distribute partner proposal letters for drilling, workovers, recompletions, and lease acquisitions.
- Maintain spreadsheets tracking proposal deadlines, AFE spending, leased acreage, bonuses, brokerage, and related costs.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience as a Land Tech.
- Working knowledge of Land Department functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, reasoning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or GED with coursework in office practices, typing, accounting, or data processing.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP or Quorum.
- Four-year college degree with an emphasis in Energy Commerce.
