Associate, Data Science - Global Transaction Banking

Location: On-site full-time in Toronto, ON, at 161 Bay St.

What you will do

• Support the Global Transaction Banking data and AI strategy by translating capabilities into business value.
• Source and analyze structured and unstructured data and help simplify data flows from source to consumption.
• Analyze portfolio performance, pricing, net interest margin, liquidity metrics, and client activity.
• Identify opportunities to optimize products, pricing, reporting, and recurring analysis through automation.
• Design scalable analytics and AI use cases for decision-making across products, services, and client segments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Treasury, Product, Risk, Technology, and external partners to deliver data-driven solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field; financial services, transaction banking, payments, or capital markets experience is preferred.
• Degree or certification in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with data engineering practices, business intelligence, cloud-based data services, statistics, Python, and SQL.
• Ability to investigate complex problems, interpret information, and communicate actionable insights clearly.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
