(PRI) RX Tech Certified Sam's Club, Rx Tech

Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico, United States; onsite at PR-2 KM 2.2 Kennedy Ave, San Juan, PR 00920-1715.

Hourly wage: $19.50–$27.50 per hour, with the actual rate meeting or exceeding the applicable local minimum wage.

Sam's Club, part of Walmart, operates a retail pharmacy providing prescription fulfillment and customer pharmacy services.

What you will do

• Check out prescriptions by verifying patient information, retrieving prescription bags, scanning security tags, collecting HIPAA acknowledgments, and recording restricted-item sales.
• Assist the pharmacist with prescription fulfillment, including counting, measuring, mixing or reconstituting medications, labeling containers, and operating scanning or automated dispensing equipment.
• Enter prescription and patient data into pharmacy software, including medication details, directions, refills, prescriber information, and DEA numbers.
• Process third-party insurance claims and rejections, handle inventory issues and partial fills, and identify cases requiring pharmacist action.
• Maintain pharmacy merchandise and supplies, process claims and returns, answer the pharmacy telephone, and support a safe shopping environment.
• Process customer purchases using cash registers and applicable payment procedures while providing pharmacy products and services in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

Requirements

• RX Tech Certified Sam's Club pharmacy technician qualification indicated by the position.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Juan, Puerto Rico pharmacy location.
• Ability to follow pharmacy policies, procedures, ethical standards, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Ability to use pharmacy software, scanning equipment, automated dispensing systems, cash registers, and insurance-claim processes.
• Ability to collaborate with pharmacists, managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
