What you will do
- Partner with Upstream stakeholders to understand workflows, priorities, technology needs, and operational challenges.
- Design, build, deploy, and improve custom applications and data solutions that increase automation, efficiency, data accuracy, and control.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and Replit to accelerate development and prototype solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, stored procedures, and database integrations for applications, reporting, and data analysis.
- Use cloud platforms such as AWS to modernize the application portfolio and improve reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead multiple projects from scope definition through deployment, training, and continuous improvement while coordinating stakeholders, vendors, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in information technology or a related field, including systems analysis, application delivery, business analysis, or project management.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver functional software applications or technology solutions.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, relational data modeling, data validation, troubleshooting, and interpretation of results.
- Experience coordinating third-party software vendors or development partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with oil and gas operations, including upstream production, drilling, or field data management.
- Experience with public cloud technologies.
- ITIL, ITSM, LEAN, Six Sigma, or PMP certification.
