What you will do

• Report, produce, shoot, write, voice, edit, and deliver news stories across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Research events and background information, conduct interviews, and verify facts using reference materials and public records.
• Develop and pitch locally relevant story ideas, evaluate leads and tips, and coordinate priorities with producers and news managers.
• Determine story emphasis, length, and format while revising content to meet editorial standards and timing requirements.
• Write stories for web and eMedia platforms and interact with viewers and users on social media.
• Maintain journalistic integrity and production quality across all published content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Superior on-air presence, strong organization, and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
