Assistant General Counsel – Policy, Strategy & Litigation (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid role based in Washington, DC, Morristown, NJ, or Cambridge, MA; U.S. and Puerto Rico residents only.

Salary: $206,250–$297,916.66 per year

What you will do

• Define legal positions and environment-shaping strategies related to drug pricing, government programs, and market access.
• Monitor federal and state legislative, regulatory, and litigation developments and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead a defined portion of the 340B program implementation, including the 340B Integrity Initiative and Credit Model.
• Manage or support 340B HRSA Administrative Dispute Resolution proceedings and related legal matters.
• Identify and develop affirmative litigation and advocacy opportunities, coordinating strategy across the Law Division.
• Represent hirify.global with trade associations, government agencies, industry coalitions, Congress, HHS, CMS, HRSA, and state agencies.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 8 years of practicing attorney experience, including complex litigation through discovery, dispositive motions, and/or trial.
• Experience developing and executing legal or policy strategy in a global company, government agency, trade association, or top law firm.
• Strong strategic thinking, judgment, executive presence, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be a resident of the United States or Puerto Rico and work in a hybrid arrangement from one of the listed U.S. locations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program, Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, Federal Supply Schedule, or Medicare Part B/Part D.
• Experience with PBM reform, MFN policy, IRA drug price negotiation, constitutional claims, statutory and regulatory challenges, or APA matters.
• Experience engaging with trade associations, government agencies, or state attorneys general.
• Federal appellate clerkship or comparable litigation background.
• Interest in using AI and emerging technology to work more effectively.
