Consultant, Risk Analytics (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week onsite at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Evaluate strategies that balance risk and reward for new and existing lending accounts.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and pre- and post-analysis of acquisition strategy performance.
• Develop proposals and business cases for credit risk scorecards, systems, and rule changes.
• Build dynamic dashboards and reports that provide senior leadership with portfolio trends and insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for profitable growth, reduce exposure, and adapt to market conditions.

Requirements

• Technical proficiency with SAS, Python, and/or SQL and Databricks.
• Degree or diploma in business, mathematics, statistics, an MBA, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, data quality, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.
• Ability to communicate detailed information clearly and meaningfully.

Nice to have

• Retail lending product knowledge.
• Experience with business requirements, data integration, test planning, and quality improvement.
