Expected annual base salary: $165,000–$250,000

What you will do
- Review marketing materials, due diligence responses, investor communications, fundraising documents, quarterly letters, recordings, and memoranda from legal, regulatory, and compliance perspectives.
- Advise the business on marketing materials, investor requests, communications, regulatory questions, and domestic and global marketing registration.
- Manage and train compliance staff, supervise reports, and oversee consultant work product.
- Manage relationships with designated lines of business and related investment products.
- Develop marketing compliance policies, procedures, educational materials, and training programs.
- Assess regulatory risks, conduct industry research, and contribute to a global, cross-functional compliance model.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience at a law firm and/or investment management firm.
- Prior compliance experience and/or a J.D. degree.
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to marketing and fundraising.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, project management, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage teams, competing business demands, and complex compliance problems independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of the Advisers Act and FINRA regulations is strongly preferred; the role may require work outside regular business hours.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of hedge funds and drawdown funds.
- Experience using AI-based regulatory review software.
