Quality Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Automotive)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; 2nd shift with a large manufacturing floor presence and travel as required for business needs.

What you will do

• Lead quality, engineering, manufacturing, and operations personnel in meeting internal and external safety and quality expectations.
• Partner with production supervisors on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production quality issues.
• Plan quality control engineering assignments and coordinate technicians, inspectors, and associate-level engineers.
• Design inspection and testing mechanisms, document critical product features, and maintain inspection criteria.
• Coordinate quality activities for new product development, including on-site start-ups, tooling, and vendor certifications.
• Develop quality control training and mentoring programs while operating within the approved budget and safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in quality, process engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of process improvement methods, including PFMEA, control plans, RCCA/8D, CAR/CAPA, DOE, gage R&R, PPAP, engineering drawings, GD&T, product failure analysis, and QMS.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated Black Belt knowledge and experience with Six Sigma methods and tools.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Previous quality experience in the automotive or similar assembly industry.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
