What you will do
- Own product quality performance across assigned product families from suppliers through manufacturing and customer delivery.
- Support new product development, design changes, cost-reduction initiatives, validation, and manufacturability reviews.
- Identify customer and product risks using manufacturing data, field feedback, and performance indicators.
- Lead containment, mitigation, structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Partner with manufacturing operations to improve First Pass Yield, reduce quality holds, rework, bottlenecks, and customer escapes.
- Lead initiatives to reduce scrap, test failures, warranty costs, complaints, and other Cost of Poor Quality.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering, operations, process management, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability, or operations with demonstrated leadership and cross-functional impact.
- Experience driving quality improvement, defect prevention, corrective action, and risk mitigation in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement methods such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCCA, or CAPA.
- Ability to prioritize work, influence cross-functional teams, deliver results, and coach or develop team members.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.
Nice to have
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience supporting strategic customers in manufacturing.
- Background in Cost of Poor Quality reduction, warranty analysis, or reliability improvement.
- SAP experience.
