Senior Solutions Engineer (Communications)

Location: Remote - US; not eligible for hire in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington. Approximately 10% travel is required for customer meetings and team gatherings.

Estimated annual pay ranges from $109,760 to $152,400 depending on location. The role may also include equity, bonuses, and commissions.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives on qualification, demonstrations, proofs of concept, RFPs, technical documentation, presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical discovery and recommend best-practice solutions using Twilio’s APIs.
• Design, demonstrate, and present solutions that address customer communications challenges.
• Build complex, interactive demonstrations for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Run low- to medium-complexity opportunities independently and lead small to medium technical projects.
• Share knowledge and create reusable demonstrations and presentation materials for the Solutions Engineering community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of presales experience selling complex technical products, or 6+ years supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to understand customer communications needs and guide them toward technical solutions.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge of relevant technical areas.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and cloud application architecture.
• Experience in telecom, SIP, contact centers, or security.
• Experience with sales methodologies.
