What you will do
- Assist rehabilitation staff with patient care, treatment sessions, and patient handling under direct therapist supervision.
- Procure, set up, instruct patients on, clean, and maintain rehabilitation equipment.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with department and manufacturer procedures.
- Support front-desk operations, including phones, patient check-in, scheduling, co-pays, registration, and insurance-benefit checks.
- Send and receive rehabilitation documentation for providers, health information management, and insurance companies.
- Provide customer service and represent rehabilitation services positively.
Requirements
- Must be in the final semester of, or recently graduated from, an accredited physical therapy program.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred; passing grades are required.
- Expected to pass the physical therapy board exam and obtain state licensure within six months of hire.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of employment and must be maintained.
- Ability to work a variable 32-hour weekly schedule initially, increasing to 40 hours after obtaining a physical therapist license.
