TL;DR
Project Manager - Water Resource Design (Water Resources) (Dams, Levees, Hydraulic Structures): Leading large, complex water resources and heavy civil projects from planning through delivery with an accent on site inspections, hydraulic design, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Focus on managing multidisciplinary teams, evaluating technical and commercial impacts, maintaining project schedules and quality control plans, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.

Location: Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas offices; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

  • Lead large, complex water resources and heavy civil projects from planning through delivery, with an emphasis on dams, levees, and hydraulic structures.
  • Lead site inspections and direct studies, investigations, analysis, and design activities.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Define project tasks, assign work, and supervise multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, designers, scientists, drafters, and external consultants.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, client staff, and project teams.
  • Track financial performance, prepare monthly status reports, manage schedules and quality control plans, and support proposals, client visits, and marketing activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering experience with dams, levees, and hydraulic structures.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams while overseeing quality.

Nice to have

  • M.S. in Engineering.
  • Interest and ability to supervise, coach, and mentor staff.
